Philosophy


College of Nursing believes that nursing is a profession, which necessitates prompt updating of knowledge and skills in specialized clinical areas concerning healthcare by rendering quality nursing services.

Students are our prime importance. We believe that the basic course of nursing should prepare our students for primary level positions in nursing, and we assume the responsibility in all-round development of the students.

Society comprised of individuals from diverse backgrounds. We contribute to society by preparing graduate nurses who advocate for health promotion, disease prevention and treatment of illness in a global healthcare environment.

Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being; and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. It is a right of all the people. We have a responsibility towards maintaining global health.

Nursing is an art and science that identifies, mobilizes and develops strengths of the client through acquired skill, professionalism, knowledge and competence supported by evidenced-based practice. We are committed to improve the standard of nursing by providing quality nursing education.

Nursing Education prepare the students to meet healthcare needs of ever changing healthcare industry using the nursing process, applying critical thinking, clinical reasoning and research-based nursing. We strive for excellence in nursing education and prepare our graduates to be nursing leaders of tomorrow.

Faculty of our college of nursing are committed to nursing education; and their role is to facilitate learning in a student centered culture by responding to different learning styles and developmental levels. Our teachers have the responsibility to be role models and create learning environment that foster an attitude of lifelong learning.
